There’s something breathtaking about photographing a woman in this season, growing a whole human while glowing from the inside out. Her studio session in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was pure magic from start to finish.

Alanna radiated. Every frame captured that quiet, powerful beauty that comes with carrying new life, soft, strong, and absolutely luminous. We built three sets to capture all three of those looks, and they were FLAWLESS.

For the Mama Who Almost Didn’t Book

Here’s something close to my heart: so many women hesitate to do maternity photos because they worry they won’t love how they look. If that’s you, please hear me, you are not supposed to look like anyone but you, in this exact, fleeting season. My whole job is to light you, pose you, and direct you so that when you see your gallery, you finally see what everyone who loves you already does.

Alanna never had maternity photos with her first two babies. She told me she didn't feel her best back then, and she wasn't confident a photographer could make her feel good enough to be worth the money.

Then I turned my camera around for a sneak peek, and she lit up. "Well, if I'd known I'd look like that, I would have done this so much sooner!"
